​What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure designed to eliminate spider and varicose veins. During the procedure, a solution is injected directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually be absorbed by the body. This treatment is minimally invasive and highly effective for improving both the appearance and discomfort caused by problematic veins.

​What to Expect During Your Treatment
In your initial consultation, Anna will assess your veins, discuss your medical history, and determine if sclerotherapy is the best option for you.

Before the procedure, we’ll clean and prep the treatment area. Anna will discuss whether liquid medication or foam (medicine mixed with air) is more suitable for your specific case. Foam is often used for larger veins, as it covers a larger surface area and works better in these situations. Anna may also recommend a combination of injectable and laser treatments to get you the best outcome.

During the procedure, the sclerosing solution is carefully injected into the spider or varicose veins with a fine needle. You should only experience minimal discomfort, like a slight pinch or sting. The process usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number and size of veins being treated.
Post Sclerotherapy Treatment
Aftercare instructions may include wearing compression stockings to help support the treated veins and reduce swelling. Anna will provide detailed guidance on how to care for your legs in the days following the procedure.

​The results of sclerotherapy can vary, but many patients start seeing improvement within a few weeks. The treated veins will gradually fade, leaving your legs looking clearer and healthier. Multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve the best results, especially for larger or more stubborn veins.
