Dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts water molecules to hydrate and plump the skin. When injected into the facial tissues, these fillers add volume to plump the skin and/or fill in deep wrinkles. There are a variety of fillers in the Juvéderm & Restylane collection that patients can combine to achieve their individual desired results.
With over a decade of injection experience, our team has also contributed to emergency protocol development for dermal fillers. We utilize a Clarius ultrasound to map facial anatomy beforehand and can use it in the rare case of a complication, ensuring optimal precision and safety.

What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and rejuvenate the skin. Made from hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in the body—these fillers attract water and hydrate the skin from within, delivering a refreshed, more youthful appearance with little to no downtime.
Because hyaluronic acid is biocompatible and well-tolerated, most healthy adults looking to restore volume or refine their features are excellent candidates. Before treatment, our providers will review your health history and perform a facial assessment to ensure you receive safe, customized care.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
You will meet with one of our expertly trained providers who specializes in facial aesthetics, anatomy, and facial proportions. We will assess your face and thoroughly discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals to develop a customized treatment plan. Your treatment will take on average about 1 hour. This will consist of ‘before’ photos to document your progress – these are HIPAA compliant – and just for you and your provider to better appreciate your amazing results! Then, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for about 15 minutes. For even added comfort, you may add on a dental block or medication to help ease your anxiety.
The actual treatment itself on average only takes 10-20 minutes of your 1 hour appointment. We will review your post-care in detail and send you home with a copy to review.
Post Dermal Fillers Treatment
After your dermal filler treatment, it’s important to follow a few simple guidelines to ensure optimal results. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and exposure to excessive heat (like saunas, hot tubs, or sunbathing) for at least 24 hours. Refrain from massaging, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated areas, and try to avoid sleeping directly on your face the first night.
You may see visible improvements the same day, with full results typically developing around the two-week mark. Some mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness is normal and should resolve within a few days. For new patients or anyone treating a new area, we encourage a follow-up visit for photos—so we can compare progress and celebrate your transformation as you age in reverse!
