Cutera XEO laser vein treatment
What is the difference between spider and varicose veins?
Spider and varicose veins both form when there is excessive build-up of blood in veins. Most commonly found in the legs, spider veins are smaller than varicose veins. They appear as blue or red clusters on the surface of the skin. Spider veins tend to spread in a spider-like shape. they are commonly found on the calves, legs, thighs, ankles, and even the face. Varicose veins are larger and can bulge. Both spider and varicose veins can be treated safely with the XEO ndYag laser.
What causes spider/varicose veins?
There are many different reasons that someone can develop spider and varicose veins over the course of their lifetime. Some causes include aging, overexposure to the sun, hereditary factors, hormonal changes, pregnancy and obesity. Women also tend to develop more spider and varicose veins than men.
How can laser treat my veins?
The Cutera XEO Laser at Skinnovations uses strong pulses of light to cause the blood within your veins to coagulate. This destroys the vessels containing the backup of blood that is causing the unsightly veins and allows the blood in the vessel to be reabsorbed by your body. The result is the blood from the vessel being redirected into deeper veins that are below your skin’s surface, causing the visible veins in your face and body to disappear. Cutera Laser Vein therapy is the gold standard for Vascular reds, browns, purples, and blue veins.
Treatment plans vary from patient to patient. Results can be seen in as little as one treatment, but typically, several treatments are required for optimal results.
